Good therapy...adopt from a Shelter

Post by yorkiemum01 » Thu Jan 15, 2009 7:50 pm

Hi Gang,
You have all been here for me during my 'ups and downs' losing my beloved
Hershey last year and I had to share my wonderful news.
I've adopted a new family member from a shelter, and my new Yorkie Boy,
Laddie, will be joining our family this weekend. He's an 8 month old fella,
orphaned due to the economy, and I couldnt be more excited. Sleep may
be hard to come by with traning a new pup, but I know firsthand the long
term benefits are LOVE......unconditionally. Wanted to share the news : )

Live simply. Love generously. Care deeply. Speak kindly. Leave the rest to God. And remember - the richest person is not the one who has the most, but the one who needs the least.

Congratulations, and you are right about the benefits. My buddy Gus is by my bed when I lay me down to sleep and there when I awake. Their LOVE is unconditional! When you lost Hershey I could not post because every time I tried I cried. May you find the new love as rewarding as the old friendship.

Awwww, that's good news. Yeah, the benefits far outweigh the inconveniences. Our latest little one is so tenderhearted she looks crushed if we so much as fuss at her. She may be playing us, but we try to be real patient so her little feelings don't get hurt. I can't believe I'm acting like this - and don't even mind!

May your new little guy bring you much joy. I'm sure your loving home would be any dog's ideal place to spend their life. Lucky dog, and lucky you.

Image This is my rescue Rottweiler Deuce. I adopted him through the American Rottweiler Club Breed rescue.

Deuce has really proved above and beyond the call of duty.

What a lucky Laddie he is to be getting a home with someone who will cherish him the way he should be!

I'll bet Hershey is smiling down on you both!
