What you need is a HEATED HUMIDIFIER.

What machine do you have? We can probably help you determine what humidifier you need.

Cheers,
Barbara

I currently have a stash of Nasal Aire II cannulas in Small or Extra Small. Please PM me if you would like them. I'm interested in bartering for something strange and wonderful that I don't currently own. Or a Large size NAII cannula. :)

Here's a cheap and easy fix that MIGHT work, depending on your setup. This works for me:

I only use passover humidification -- using the heated humidifier messes up my sinuses. But I hated the cold air. Being the thrifty sort -- oh, okay, CHEAP -- I looked around the house before spending $$ on any fixes. I have a rectangular heating pad, maybe 8" X 20" or so, that has a couple of velcro strips across the narrower width. My cpap hose fits right through the strips, enough to keep the heating pad on it, and I have enough room in my bed to let it lay on the mattress. The heating pad's on top of the hose, and that's enough to heat the air without having to spend money on a heating coil, hose snuggy or anything else. Good luck!!

Hey that's a GREAT idea Songbird for us...uh....er...thrifty people.
Just a tad of heat to take the edge off ! I'm gonna try that tonight.

I just remembered this.... using something like the heating pad also has the benefit of helping to keep someone from going overboard, particularly any Tim the Toolman types.

Here's one of my all-time favorite posts from one of my favorite posters. Dan hasn't posted here for a while, which I'm sure is a good thing, both because his therapy was going so well and also because he and his lady were expecting a baby. So I'm sure their lives are quite very full. I unashamedly resurrect this post every once in a while just because it was so wonderfully written and soooooooo much fun to read: "How To Set Your Hose On Fire With A Reptile Cord" (viewtopic.php?f=1&t=33702&st=0&sk=t&sd=a&hilit=snake)

Dan, if you should happen to read this, please pop in and give us an update. You are missed!!
