dry/sore tongue

Post by indysleeptech » Tue Jan 13, 2009 11:31 pm

Is there any products out there for dry mouth and sore tongue for full face cpap users? I am a sleep tech and also use a full face (Hybrid) cpap with heated humidity and heated hose (Fisher & Pykel 406). I still get a sore tongue and dry mouth. I have discussed this with other patients who are using cpap and they seem to agree about the above issues....anything out there for this?

There are special mouthwashes made for this. One is Biotene. Check with your pharmacist to see what is available in your area.

I agree the mouthwash may help, but perhaps the heated humidifier and heated hose are drying you out. Too much heat will do that.
Good Luck,
