We lost one I think

Post by elader » Wed Jan 07, 2009 12:02 pm

Well there was this guy at work - he was a huge guy. Was eating for 3 people. I talked to him about cpap over lunch once or twice. He was nodding with the 'yeah I snore, my wife says I stop breathing, I am always tired', I should see my doctor.

Guy died in his sleep on Friday night. He was 33 years old.

That is so sad! You did what you could. Great reminder to all of us that we need to spread the word, carefully, tactfully, in a non-accusatory way.

I don't know how close you were to this guy, but I'm sorry for your loss. Thanks for sharing!

Oh my god, elader. How sobering and sad. What did they say he died of? Heart attack, or...? My condolences to you, his coworkers, and his friends and family.

Same thing happened to my co-worker last December. She put her head down as if to nap, as she usually did, but she did not ever wake up. They said it was probably a heart attack, but no autopsy was done. She was 57. She did not want to be bothered with a CPAP, so prefered not to get a sleep study. I still miss her.

Dont know how he died, I can only assume it was his heart or a stroke. He was a really big guy and whatever got him, it got him quietly. I really didnt know him well, but he was apparently well liked by his colleagues.
