They are named something like this (I just downloaded my card to create one) "decodedSC.xml12191247.xml". The file size of this one is 1105 KB.

Actually, it has to be creating the base files somewhere else. The xml files in the folder above are created every time you select the "view report" button, so it is actually reading the data from somewhere else. Did a search, they are in .bin files in the user folders:

C:\Documents and Settings\Debra\Application Data\Respironics\EncoreViewer\Data

The path is probably a bit different on a vista machine.

Each time the card is read, a new bin file is created with cumulative data, so if the card has not been erased, each download includes all previous readings in the latest .bin file. The .xml files in the decoder folder can be deleted, they are recreated from the latest .bin file each time you select view report.

I went into that location on my computer that has Viewer on it and there were only three files there and they all had the same date from the last time I downloaded my card with that program. The largest file was only showing 32 K for a filesize.

That looks like the folder, it seems to change the date on the other two files when you read the card each time. Mine does not delete the files from previous downloads, but I found that taking the older bin files and deleting them keeps the latest read also. It is the bin file that the reports are created from, if you check the folder the .xml files are in, it creates a new .xml each time the report is created. Doesn't clean up after itself, sloppy programming.

At our company, we make our programmers "tidy up" after themselves. I know that storage is cheap these days, but c'mon.....
