Is Respironics BiPap Auto M Series a good machine?

Post by bouchat » Wed Dec 10, 2008 8:23 pm

I was handed a brand new Respironics BiPap Auto M Series machine to use. They had many other machines
available but gave me this one. At the time, I had not a clue about anything. Is this a good, above-average,
terrible, etc. machine and what would be considered the gold standard for this particular type of machine?
Thanks to one and all.

You are fortunate. The M series BiPap Auto is a great machine. I really like mine. It has a smart card with good information capabilities. Just need the smart card reader and EncoreViewer software for your windows machine. This lets you see how well you are doing with your therapy. Being able to see what is going on has made using the hose much easier for me.

It's an excellent machine, imho. I have one. I don't like the M series integrated humidifier, however... water reservoir is too small. I use a separate standalone Fisher & Paykel HC 150 heated humidifier with the M series machines.

You have the "Plus" model showing in your profile, not the Bi-PAP Auto, The Plus doesn't collect useful data at all.. Find out what you are using.. Jim
