FF mask problems

Post by Tcamillemars » Wed Dec 10, 2008 7:30 am

I'm on my third FF mask. I'm currently using Comfort Full 2. It fits great, doesn't slip when I move around in bed, and doesn't leave mask face in the morning. However about 1 a.m. the thing starts leaking like the titanic around the bottom. I've tried adjusting the straps and getting up and washing my face but I end up taking it off. I have a nice fat face and a wonderful pointy recessed chin and am out of ideas. Somebody help!!!! I've also tried a mirage and a F and P 421, both small and medium. Always the same problem. Help!!!!!!!!!

The only thing I can think to offer is that I had lots of leak problems with the 431 until I put one of the gray cushions from the 432 inside the 431's seal. The seal and cushion together are about $55, if I remember right. So that might be a fairly inexpensive way to try something different.... Good luck!

You might want to check out "Mack's Pillow Soft Silicon Ear Plugs" that you can get at Walmart. They are made of solf silicone and you can break them up, roll them out into little ropes, them mash them flat and put on your mask where you're getting the leaks. They're good for 2 or 3 days each. Plus, they're pretty cheap.

Good luck!
