warm machine

I've noticed that my remstar auto tends to feel warm on top during the day. Is this unusual? Should I unplug it during the day? The first couple days I had it, I covered it w/a pretty patchwork quilt pillow sham but when I discovered the warmth, I haven't done that since. Best to leave it uncovered? Best to unplug it? Heat normal? Terry

It's never a good idea to cover up anything with electronics in it. Most devices these days do not actually entirely switch off, they only go into a standby mode. This is the case with your REMstar Auto, it sits waiting for you to breathe through the hose, and kicks into gear when it senses you doing so.

I wouldn't worry about unplugging it, but if it makes you feel better then do so. Some heat is normal.
