I am in the process of building a custom end table for my M Series unit and my HC 150 HH.
The M series blower is at bed level but I am unsure of how high to mount my separate HH.
I know it should be lower but what is the ideal height of it if I could make it anything other than
being directly on the floor (don't want that). I'm thinking maybe 1 foot below the blower to tend
to keep moisture in the tank ?
Also.....is there a pressure drop in this scenario?
In other words if I have been running without the HH lately....would I have to crank up the pressure
by ADDING the HH ?
Another also.....can the blower be mounted higher up than bed level say 1 foot?
Thanks in advance
Luke

Re: Ideal height of F&P HC150 ?
The ideal height is the height at which your rainout is reduced.
I would not place it above the bed but below your head when sleeping. So below your head but off the floor. Your call. Remember water doesn't run uphill.

I have no doubt, how I sleep affects every waking moment.
I am making progress-NOW I remember that I can't remember

If this isn’t rocket science why are there so many spaceshots?

Re: Ideal height of F&P HC150 ?
I've used a small end table with 1 shelf, about 6 inches off the floor, for years for my cpap and humidifier setup. The space between the top and the shelf holds my bottle of distilled water, the power brick for my M Series machine and other small items like my tin of Citrus 11 mask wipes.
The table is 20" high, 18" wide and 12 1/2" inches deep. Using it horizontally like that means that the M Series machine and the F&P HC 150 sit nicely side by side with a little space between them (3") because of the short hose from the machine to the humidifier. I have the humidfier and the machine sitting on the tray that comes with the F&P humidifier. I have a computer mouse pad under the machine for noise and so it won't slip. The table measurements give me a few inches (2-3) on each side of the humidifier tray.
The table top is 8" below the top of my mattress. I think this is more than enough but I have a high mattress so that's how it sits. In other words, my table could be higher but I would want it lower than the top of the mattress by a few inches at least anyway.
I could put machine and humidifier on the shelf and use the top of table for other things but this way it is easier for filling the humidifier.
Georgia has a really nice setup. He posted a picture a while back. You may be able to search that. He has the integrated heater but I like his setup too. I posted a picture of my setup under a "hose management" thread awhile back as well. You could search it as well.
I did not have to make any changes in my pressure setting when I added this humidifier. I have the software and reader so know that it made no difference.
I would not want my machine or humidifier higher than my bed at all - certainly not 1 foot higher.
This is an ideal setup --for me

Re: Ideal height of F&P HC150 ?
Luke if you are trying to make the blower and humidifier at different levels, they are made to be at the same level. The trya that comes with the HC150 is made to mount the cpap next to it. I use a couple of strips of velcro to hold the blower in place on the tray. Mine is mounted just a bit higher than my matress. I know it is better to have it a bit lower than the matress but I have never had a real problem with rainout but we use centeral heat and air so have a little control over the room humidity.

I checked my set-up with a water manometer before and after and found no difference in pressure!
