Is there any value in getting the fleece cover for the hose, or the pad a cheeks (and does insurance cover any of that stuff)?
Thanks again, everyone.
I would not be without a fleece cover for the hose for two reasons:
1) It reduces or eliminates the noise the hose makes if rubs on the headboard, bed rails, etc.
2) It helps reduce "rain out" -- condensation in the hose that makes it way to the mask then your nose, which results in a rude awakening.

Padacheeks are great. They work as advertised, and their maker, Karen, is a member of this forum who is dedicated to making cpap therapy easier. She has excellent customer service. Once you know what mask you want to keep using, check out her products to see if she has pad-a-cheeks for that mask.

I have never heard of insurance paying for a fleece cover or pad-a-cheeks. Those items are not very expensive, but if it presents a problem for you, you can make your own hose cover. You can do a search here on hose covers and see ideas about lots of homemade ones. One free way to create a hose cover is to use old socks by cutting a hole in the toes.

I am glad things are going a little better for you. I think you are going to be one of the ones who "sticks with it" because you seem determined and you have found a great online resource.
