Some people mentioned having a hose melt. I'm not sure of all of the occasions, but at least a few people mentioned it melting when using the repti-cable.
If you have had a hose melt or heat-damaged for any reason, would you please post what type of hose it was? I need a back-up hose, and I use the repti-cable, and if all of the melt-downs involve a particular brand of hose, naturally I would want to avoid that one.
Have you had a hose melt?
Re: Have you had a hose melt?
If I remember it was not a problem with the hose. Some folks got carried away and bought the higher wattage repti-cable which got to hot.

They also forgot the rules of physics, if something is supposed to produce heat and you stop removing that heat it gets hotter. jim6PtStar wrote:If I remember it was not a problem with the hose. Some folks got carried away and bought the higher wattage repti-cable which got to hot.

Maybe, if they just made a stainless steel CPAP hose! Na!, Someone would come along and want to heat it with a blowtorch!
