Long story short..
- Rx was for a Respironic RemStart Auto M Series with C-Flex
- DME provider was unable to provide me with that and gave me (because I did ask for) a Resmed AutoSet II
I have been using that equipment for almost 2 months, I do have the reader/software and controlling my treatment... very happy with it (because I don't have experience with another equipment )
Now my Insurance send me a notice that is changing the DME provider and I do have to start all over again.
New DME provider almost sure is going to follow the original RX and try to give me the RemStart Auto (hopefully) ... so the question for all the experts .... what do you suggest?
- Try to obtain the same equipment that I do have today or
- Go with the RemStart Auto ?
I do understand that the advantage is better software/reports... anything else to consider?
I'll appreciate all the answers/suggestions/opinions

Dilemma... what do you think?
Re: Dilemma... what do you think?
If you like the one you have, why don't you get your insurance provider to do a "payout" for the one you're now using. Get out from under those monthly payments and own it outright.

Re: Dilemma... what do you think?
I was just about to post the same thing Den suggested.
Ask insurance to buy your existing machine and tell them this would save everyone time, money and especially frustration on your part. Tell them you will get new masks, filters, etc. (ie future business) at the new DME if they wish.

Re: Dilemma... what do you think?
Well, most likely that Humidaire 3i integrated humidifier has been paid for in full. Check your original invoices before you hand it back to the current DME supplier!!! W/the M Series you're gonna need a new humidifier as well as APAP. On the other hand, your new insurance will be buying and paying and most likely wouldn't have a clue you were saving them any money by going w/a Resmed again. You could always sell the Humidaire 3i on cpapauction .... I sure wouldn't just give it back to the current DME supplier for free!!!
