What is "90%" ???

Post by Crest » Mon Nov 17, 2008 8:29 pm

Exactly what does the "90%" mean on the Encore Viewer software? My 90% reading is 9cm, my machine (auto CPAP) is at 7.5-9.5. I'm feeling OK, would anyone out there make an adjustment on teses settings ?

It means you spend only 10% of you night at pressure higher than 9.

That depends.......
On if snoring and leaks may be driving your pressures higher......although you're at a pretty narrow range right now, so.....all things being equal, I'd say the minimum could be set to 8.5 or 9.0. However, that leaves the upper (maximum) pressure setting to experiment with.
What is your AHI?.....Snore Index?

I would put the min at 9 (10 if you are using AFLEX) and then add 3 or 4 cm to your min setting for you max setting ... assuming these numbers represent the average of a week or two worth of data ... if you want to try and get your AHI below 3.
