Remstar Error Code

I am getting an E-31 error code on my Remstar Pro. Is it worth sending in for repair or is it time to buy a new machine?

If it's under warranty, sure, the warranty is 2 years from the date on the data tag. Jim

E-31 ERR_INVALID_NVDATA_LOCK •Defective EEPROM •Replace Main PCA

If you have the "Pro" and not the "Pro 2", it is not data-capable and is essentially the REMstar Plus w/C-Flex. There are many non-data-capable machines that are available pretty cheap......maybe cheaper then sending it back to the factory for repair. However, if you're using a local DME, it would be a good idea to at least get them to get an estimate from Respironics before you make up your mind.
Depending on your financial situation, there are many data-capable machines that are affordable, too. Depending on your pressure and whether you actually need exhale relief, that may also be a determining factor.
