Hosehead Bootcamp!!!!!

Post by dirtsurfer57 » Sat Jul 09, 2005 8:29 pm

Boot Private Dirt reporting for Duty, Tention!!!!!!! Well I'm still waiting for my machine but what I decided to do is just try going to bed with my mask on and sleeping with it all night. So far it's a little tougher than I thought, having more trouble with the Swift then I thought I would and it is kinda loud, I do realize theres nothing attatched to the the hose and that will make it seem louder but I can see where the chamber will be a little loud when I hook everything up. I'm gonna work with it for another week or so but I think I may end up goin' to another mask, possibly the Nasal ll I'm not sure at this point just something that will make me feel less claustrophobic. Anyway Training is tough and rigorous here at boot camp wish you were here please send care packages!!!!!!
Hosehead Salute (take your hand place it on top of your head, take your index finger and middle finger and jam them up your nose, pull upwards and let out a big grunt!!!!!) Jockularity, Jockularity (Father Mulcahy MASH 4077)
Alright I'm really done now.

Hey, if you stick a fork in a hosehead does he leak air and go "pfffffffft" all over the room like a ballon?

sleeping in the mask, with no pap attached, will not evacuate co2, rebreathing co2 isn't good. perhaps limit your practice time to sitting up in a chair, short periods....not all night sleeping

I was just about to post the same thing.

Please do NOT sleep with the hose - even that short one that comes with the mask - attached if there is no machine pushing air through it. You will end up rebreathing CO2.

Have you been waking up with headaches? It's from the CO2.

I think Dirt has proven this point rather well.

I was pretty sure you shouldn't sleep with it all night I've actually only been doin it for about 1/2 an hour every night just enough for my face to get used to the idea of having a GIANT ALIEN strapped to it all night. Hopefully my machine comes in this week and I can be a Full Fledged Hosehead like all of you and not just a Wannabe!!!!!

At ease there Private Snuff, the salute uses only one hand, drop and give me 20!!!!!! Practice makes perfect.

This is better than reading the comic strips
You all are craaaaaaazy - It must be a requirement to be a hosehead.
