Update on Doctor Visit

Post by DoriC » Fri Nov 07, 2008 11:20 pm

Thought you guys would like to know that we were pleasantly surprised yesterday that the Dr was very encouraging when I told him I have the software and have been making setting changes and monitoring Mike's treatment. He took a lot of time reading and commenting on the sampling of reports I brought him and was pleased with hubby's progress and thought the setting changes I made were quite reasonable. When he asked me how I had gotten so educated in such a short time, I told him about all my friends on this wonderful forum. He wrote down the website and will pass it on to many of his patients who need answers that he can't provide on a daily basis. Because of all the help I've been receiving here, I really was able to hold my own with Dr. McK, and I felt he treated me with a little more respect. I asked good questions and he seemed to be enjoying our discussions. So all of you were in that office with me! Gratefully, Dori
PS: I've still got plenty more questions I'll be asking you!

Dori, what an awesome outcome for you. You have one peach of a doc there, and we certainly are willing to answer questions...as you have found. In the best tradition of this forum, you have helped to spread the help to others. Image What if you had not questioned and shared your information with Dr. McK? We can never really predict the outreach our actions might achieve, can we?

Now, if only our Slinky had had a similar experience with a Mayo sleep doctor....

Well, I'm a firm believer in Mayo Clinic, Rochester, and I do LOVE Mayo Clinic, Rochester - except their sleep center.

What a great success story, both for you and Mike.

How wonderful that your doc sees your knowledge for what it is.

Dori, thanks for the update.
