Can acne face wash weaken mask seal?

I'm still one of the unfortunate college students affected with acne, and currently use a solution similar to ProActiv. I use a full face mask, which I just bought a Resmed Ultra Mirage.

I clean my face before I go to bed, but I'm wondering if the acne medication I leave on my face might "eat" through or weaken the seal on my mask. Does anyone know of this happening?

I have been told to apply my mask to a clean face. I used to wear moisturizer at night, but have stopped when I realized it seemed to affect the seal on my skin. I imagine any foreign substance could possibly damage the material.
