I got to thinking (which is always dangerous) that I might not always be comfortable with traveling with my autobilevel, my only machine, since it represents my life and accidents do happen. But bilevel machines are too stinking expensive for me to think about getting one just for travel, IMO. So here are my questions . . .
What if I were to get a little inexpensive CPAP machine for relatively short trips in order to run it at my prescribed epap pressure, to prevent apneas even if I would still have hypopneas? Silly idea? (I could first try sleeping with plain CPAP at that pressure on my VPAP Auto for a night or two to see what my numbers did.) Any thoughts?
And would that require getting a doc to write a prescription for CPAP (instead of my bilevel prescription) in order for CPAP.com to play along with that little scheme?

Sounds like an excellent idea...an inexpensive travel CPAP instead of chancing loss or damage of your primary machine..your BiPAP Auto. I'd set the single pressure on the travel CPAP a couple of cm's above your current EPAP, if it were me, but sounds like a good plan whatever pressure you decide to use.
You could call cpap.com to find out if it requires a separate Rx for "cpap." I'm betting it does since I'd think they'll need an Rx with a single pressure stated on it, to know where to set the CPAP pressure before shipping it.

Thanks, rested gal!
I may try to get my primary doc to write that Rx if it is needed by cpap.com, and if he's willing. I guess my first step is see how I sleep with straight CPAP, since I've never tried it.

An excellent idea, jnk (since I'd already intended to do the same, using my Resmed S8 AutoSet Vantage as my travel xPAP for the same reason). Let us know how your experiment goes!!!
Another thought too tho: I kept watching cpapauction and believe it or not I got an auto bi-level w/just 26 hours on it for $500!!!! AND its a Respironics "tank", the good ole PRE-M SERIES Auto Bi-PAP w/Bi-Flex. Came complete w/all but the carrying case and manuals but that wasn't a problem as one of our great forum members sent me a pdf of the Clinician's Manual and I had a carrying case for it.

Hours of kids fun - Tippytales.com vs. Others
Hello there…
I've been lurking this forum for a while as a guest - but finally decided to register. A little off-topic but I have a 8 year old boy and a 5 year old little girl who are dying to browse online.
I've spent hours researching the internet and besides TippyTales.com, I really can't find any other educational site online. Besides the music & games, they have a cool book creator where my kids develop their own books. I swear it entices them to read...not joking!!
Anyway, was wondering what other parents are introducing their kids to or if we're all stuck on the same site?!!!
