rstcso - welcome to the forum!

you've already received some great advice here, so i won't add much to the discussion except to reconfirm what has already been said.

It is completely normal that we all sleep a bit differently every night. Therefore it's entirely possible that the night of your titration was not a completely representative night. If you feel better at 10, then by all means stay at 10. Despite what you may read now and then (on this forum or elsewhere), this is YOUR therapy and YOUR health, so YOU have to take charge. You seem to have a pretty good support team (except for that silly PA), so use that to your advantage. Keep tracking your progress, and do what makes sense. Most of the people here aren't statisfied with an AHI of 5 .... many aim for 0.0 (and miss ) but in the end anything less than 5 is good.... and most importantly, the best indicator is how you're feeling - improvement in daytime energy, alertness, memory, etc.

Don't forget to read all you can under "our wisdom" at the top - there's plenty of great information there for beginners and seasoned users alike (including some great CPAP humor ).

Welcome rstcso -- glad to have you aboard!!
I really can't add much to the discussion and echo stole my thunder on going by the way you feel rather than obsess over the numbers. Over the time I've spent on the hose I've learned to go by feel. I obsessed over the numbers for a while, but no longer. Higher pressure is not necessarily better -- I went from 10 to 11 and my AHI got worse. I've settled on staying in auto mode with a range from 11-15 and I really feel much better, so......AHI averages about 2.5, so I'm a happy camper.....

One piece of advice is when you make a change -- unless something is REALLY wrong, leave the change for a week or so and keep an eye on the data. One or two nights results can be inconclusive -- I usually leave it for a month. The larger the data set, the more accurate the look....

No real comment on the PA......Sheesh. What a maroon.....

Oh -- had to edit to add......The stupid question is the one that doesn't get asked!!!!! Ask away!!!!

Keep us up on how you're doing!!!!
take care
cheers
