I'm looking for a better FF mask and hoping someone will have a good suggestion for me.
I need full face mask suggestions for my long, narrow face. I must have a full face because my nose plugs up during the night due to "non-allergic" rhinitis and I must be able to breathe through my mouth for a while until it unplugs. I have been to ENTs and the allergists and have explored many options, none of which are perfect. I'm using an inhaled antihistamine now which helps, but doesn't completely fix the problem...so please don't tell me to get learn to stop mouth breathing, I've heard that a lot and it just doesn't work for me.
I have tried unsuccessfully to use the Respironics Comfort 2, Resmed UltraMirage, the Hans Rudolph v2, and the Resmed Liberty Mirage (hybrid-type). The Comfort 2 just didn't fit at all. The UltraMirage was probably the wrong size, but didn't feel right either. The Hans Rudolph would not seal around the bridge of my nose (I have a bump that looks like I broke my nose but since everyone on my mother's side of the family has it, I'd say not... ). I really hated the pillows on the Liberty and found that I got chipmunk cheeks until the air leaked out my mouth. I have tried a couple of nasal-only things. I tried Babs NasalAire II test drive with a chin strap and apparently moaned for two hours before I took it off and put the full face mask back on. I also tried the Fisher and Paykel Opus 360 for a few days.
I'm currently using the Fisher and Paykel Flexifit 432 and it works the best of anything I've found. However, the medium size bruised the bridge of my nose. I've been using the large size for a couple of months, but find that it leaks around my eyes and under my chin more often than I'd like. It also feels like it's putting pressure on my eyes or poking into them. I have a Flexifit 431 to try tonight, but I think it's going to be my husband's new mask.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions you have.

DANG!
Well shoot, I haven't a clue what to tell you! You've tried them all!
Have you considered adding an Oracle to your rotation? Maybe using a regular nasal mask except when you're congested, then switching to the Oracle?
I've heard good things about the Activa, but can't remember now if it's a FFM or just nasal only.
GOOD LUCK, BUDDY!!!!!

I currently have a stash of Nasal Aire II cannulas in Small or Extra Small. Please PM me if you would like them. I'm interested in bartering for something strange and wonderful that I don't currently own. Or a Large size NAII cannula.
Re: FF Masks for long, narrow faces?
Maybe the Resmed Quattro would fit the bill (pun unintentionally intended)...It does for me.
It' main weakness is pressures over 15, but more than makes up for it with quietness and comfort (it seals better when loose). I have heard the Soyala is also a good mask, but I haven't tried it yet.
Good luck and hang in there.
