There are a fair number of hits on this forum alone if you put the following string in a Google search:

Polaris are a US machine (I believe they were built for Invacare by some other manufacturer). They run on 120VAC so aren't for use outside USA.
They appear to be well made & resonable quality - one model has an 'easy breathe' feature called SoftEx (soft exhale) not unlike CFlex.

If priced cheaply I would say go for it (they say it has a humidifier).

PS
- This is the top of the line model http://www.invacare.com/cgi-bin/imhqprd ... ID=ISP5000
-I still have one of the Polaris 'flying Saucer' straight Cpap machines in mu museum. Seems a good machine.

I'd pass on that machine, it is a plain jane CPAP.

Get a Resmed, Respironics or PB420x machine, it will be more familar so you can find Support, manuals, programming instructions etc.

Buy that thing and your next questions might be:

does anyone know how to program it?
doesn't appear to be functioning correctly, anyone have the manuals?
it may be a model that isn't data capable, then you won't know how you are doing,

I've always learned, when you buy a machine get one that you can resale, autopaps always sale, CPAP's not
so fast. Look at CPAP.com's prices for new, any used machine should be 50% or less than new, more hours it has,
older it is and brand determines price. Polaris is way down the list, they make great ATV's,
maybe you could use it as a wheel chock.

Keep looking, you'll find something better.
someday science will catch up to what I'm saying...

The original poster is very financially constrained. Did you see the starting price for the machine in question
I'd love a Rolls Royce but will settle for a 2nd hand GM if the price is affordable
