The whole surgery

Post by Nate fry » Wed Oct 29, 2008 1:37 pm

Well I finally did it. After 6 years on the cpap I decided to do the operation. I have quite a storty to tell ans don't mind answering your wuestions about it. If it makes your experience better or more successful I will be happy to do do.
I have been going in for weeks doing the prrop stuff. Face exray, cheast exray, ekg , blood work and tuesaday to the surgical center. I decided to do it all at once so that I would not chicken out. This may not be the best way to consider this using hehind site. I am ther at 6 am and begin prep. I am going for adiviated spetun amd turbenent respection as well as radiofrequency work. I amlso ands have my tounsils out haveing my tounge moved and the bone mocedin my tounge. They start off putting on t he stocking and the using a nose spray on me to open my sinusus. Then they start the liquid cocaine forced into my nose. It is not exciting, this isn't a club. It burns like hell and the you go in. After about 4 hours out you come. It is over and you are on a slab wondering what the hell you just did. They take you off and keep a close eye on you. The comes the iv drugs. I have never done iv drugs in my life but let me tell you. You will be glad you do. I tried morfine and it didn't help me. Then came out demerol. As I felt it going threw my viens and the pain going away I began to see where my time was going. I laid there on and off forthe next four day asking for the drugs and couldn't have done it with out them. I did have hallucenations but they were better than pain and interesting for a pretty mild manner guy. Today is wedsday and I am home. I have no pain but when I swallow. I still can't breath threw my nose or use my cpap but seem to sleep fine. My nose is beginning to open ans I am starting to get back my energy. I think the operation is going to be great for me and extend my life but I don't thinI recommmend doing it all at once like I did. I honestly had feeling I wouldn't make it and think it was to much at one time. Anyway I would be happy to answer any question you may have it it will improve your life.

Hey Nate...I'm about to go through the same thing in a couple of weeks. Can you email me at tattoohead (at) gmail (dot) com so we can talk some more. I'm really interested in the after effects of the surgery.

Thanx..

Jack

You are brave.

Someone would have to lure me with ice-cream to trick me through the door of the hospital then hit me on the head for that to happen to me. But I am a big chicken.

Hope it turns out well. I am sure there will be some difference, after all that.

I am going to make it simple. I think the operation will be wonderfull for me and help the age of my life. On the other hand doing it all at once I truly thought I was going to die. Please take it slower and enjoy your like.Do the septum first and let it heal, you will be gladyou did.
