I want to order two heated hoses from SleepZone.com - one for my ResMed S7 and one for the GoodNight 420G I'm getting for traveling. I've looked at the Aussie site, and even had some questions answered by email, but I'm still confused...
ResMed S7 - When I get the heated hose (SZ1) for my S7, am I correct that I will need to buy an adapter at Radio Shack? Does the the adapter get plugged into the wall separately from the machine? (I'm not sure I have any available outlets, and might need to have some added.)
420G - I want to have a separate heated hose for this machine, because I don't want to deal with an adaptor. I also like the idea of having a back-up. The 420G is not an auto machine. I can't figure out if I need the SZ2 or SZ3 hose. Do I understand correctly that if I get the SZ2 I will need an adapter (transformer), but if I get the SZ3 I won't? I'm not quite sure what the difference is between the SZ2 and SZ3.
Once again I thank everyone for their help.

Katie,
The hose for the S7 will need a power supply which can be purchased at Radio Shack and will need a seperate plug. The 420G will use the new SZ3 hose which piggybacks on the power supply for the 420G and will not need a seperate power supply.

Sure can. Go to sleepzone.com.au/. A heated hose is the best option to solve difficult rainout problems.Anonymous wrote:Can you buy a heated hose for the Remstar Line? I'm having rainout and wondering what my best options are.

Suggestion. Purchase the 420E auto and its matching hose. Throw away the S-7 . Sorry, sell the S-7 . You might get $100-$150 for it. The $ saved by not needing the extra heated hose will nearly pay for an auto. Sell the S-7 and you are ahead $ ... IMHO. You wont regret it.
Cheers,
Chris
