morning puffiness

This is a minor complaint in the scheme of things, but I'm wondering if its common and others here also exp it.

I've noticed in the morning that my eyes and face are a little puffy since using the cpap....almost like somethings been blowing air up my nose all night!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!LOLOLOLOLOLOL T

Do you have a heated humidifier ? It should fix your puffiness. If you do have a humidifier dont forget to put water in it and switch it on.

I've asked that same Q but have gotten no clear response. And the pufffiness doesn't seem to go away much during the day.

And yes, I use a heated humidifier, although it's only set on about 1½ to keep the condensation out of the mask vent holes. (Besides, the air is really humid here in the Milwaukee area)

CPAP seems to increase our sensitivity to allergins. You are exposed to much more air blowing past your nose. Might see a doc and ask for an Rx for Allegra. Plain ole Sudafed seems to work also. Don't get us going with the home remidies such as saline. Was that a teaspoon of salt per quart of water or a tablespoon per pint. I can never remember.

Just take a guess. It will burn the first few times. Cheaper than a Rx. Oh yea, don't forget the baking soda. was that a tsp.

TOO funny chrisp! Yes I have a heated humidifier and YES I fill it w/water and YES I turn it on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My setting is on the low side too btw...just 2 or 3 most nights. I do use saline spray pretty regularly and yep have allergies (and three dogs and dust bunnies and love to play in the garden where all that pollen is.....)T

I also have this puffiness. A heated humidifier helps some but not 100%. I'm afaid we might have to live with this.
