Like some others, I have the Legacy/"tank"/pre-M Series machines. I started out with the Pro 2 in May of 2005. It was the then-new, data-capable CPAP in Respironics' line. Over the next two years, I've purchased three additional Legacy model Autos (even though I use them all in single pressure mode). That way, all of my equipment and software is interchangeable and I'll have lots of spares for a long, long time of future therapy.

Well, when I started, my first machine was some type of Resmed. I called it the Leak-Master. No matter how many times I fiddled with it, the humidifier tank leaked like the proverbial sieve. The DME company (man, I miss them!) replaced it with a Respironics REMstar Plus with C-Flex. Had that one for 3 years, almost 8,000 hours before it started to go bad (I think it's a bad motherboard). Then, I had another sleep study, and this time I got a Resmed Malibu VPAP. It's a nice machine, but the DME company I got it from, stinks like week-old dead fish.

I think next time I have to have another machine, I'm going elsewhere. This company is the pits.

You wouldn't believe the hassle to get a ComfortGel mask...
