I use Lunesta, but really not that often. My prescription is for 2 mg and to take 1 to 2mg. when needed. I took 2mgs the first time and it snowed me. I was afraid to take it after that. Anyway, I have cut the pills in half, which make for a horrible taste in my mouth. This works for me. I don't have problems falling asleep but wake early and can't get back to sleep. I was diagnosed with sleep apnea the end of Jan. 2006 and started on cpap machine on 2-3-06. Hopefully this will help with the insomnia. I also use Trazadone 25 to 50mg and this works well to help me sleep.

Took it one time-besides not being effective I had a terrible taste in my mouth for about 24 hours afterward-I couldn't imagine taking it on a continuous basis.

IMHO the BEST plan: Bug your doctor for a stack of free samples, and only take a pill when you absolutely need it!
