Got an itch

Anybody know why when using a full face mask, and after getting the machine all lined out, and all the pillows arranged just right, and immediately after turning out the lights, you gotta scratch yur nose?

Got cats?

A lot of times there will be one hair that is either on my face or just inside the mask. The moving air gets it moving around and tickling my nose.

Also, sliding the mask down over your face or head (as opposed to actually placing on your face and then adjusting the headgear) can also cause it to pick up a loose hair or two.

As for 2 AM itch.... you got me!

How about a cocktail stick through the exhaust port

Just don't forget to remove the cherry first

I only wear nasal masks but how about sneezing with your mask on?I've done that a couple of times. It seems like once I feel it coming on I can't quite get the mask off quick enough.Of course I can't pinch my nose to try and hold it back.

Don't know why but the itch does not start until you are in that twilight area between asleep and awake! Or it could be cat hair, dog hair, my hair....
Three cats, one dog and two humans. Hmmmmmmm!
I am full face mask user, as well!

I think you get itches just cuz you know you can't scratch them! Happens to me every time I get my nails done... (My poor manicurist probably thinks I have some kind of skin condition!)

I always have to scratch my nose after getting my nasal mask all settled. Just one of those things that happen. LoL! Kinda like just getting comfy in bed and having to get back up to potty or get a drink or something.

Yeah, I can relate. But what about trying to answer the phone with the nasal pillows in??? I did that this morning, b/c the phone woke me up. It was so funny that I kept trying to talk anyway and laughing at the same time, before I ripped them outa my nose!

As a long time allergy sufferer when I was in the Army I spent three years with a Cav Scout unit. Even though I wasn't a scout they would take me out on training missions. Sneezing when sneaking up on a position is a definate no-no so I trained myself to redirect sneezes into my closed mouth. Cheeks puff up like a balloon and I slowly let out the breath. I can be sitting next to my wife in bed and sneeze and she has no idea. Not sure how to tell you to do it but it is definately possible if you work at it...

Tell me about it. No kidding, I equate it with the fact that every time I pick up something heavy that I need two hands for I am guaranteed to get an itch. I get itches all over where my masks sits for the first ten minutes or so. The wife is getting used to blasts of air while I lift and scratch.

This string of comments shows that even though we are all inflicted with a miserable ailment, we still have a sense of humor.. This is good.
