Odd or Dangerous?

This is probably an odd question but ..... wanted to see what others might think... Since I was a kid when it is cold, I sometimes end up sleeping with my head under the covers. Now that we live in ND it is cold more of the time than less and am waking up under my covers more frequently. My question to you all is..... does anyone think this could be a problem with my mask on or not? I am getting good air from my machine but am still a little concerned with the possibility of too much carbon dioxide. I would love to hear some of your thoughts on this.. Thanks!

Your air exhausts at the mask and there wouldn't be any significant inhalation at that area.....and even if there was, there couldn't be enough buildup of CO2 under the covers.

Thanks for the reply. I was thinking it is probably okay but wanted to make sure... thanks again.

It is actually better with it on than doing it without it, the only problem would be pushing the vents into the pillow and blocking them, even then it would be hard to seal most vents off. I use lots of covers and burrow in too. Jim

Yup.

As long as the exhaust vent doesn't get blocked too much (and that holds true even with head not covered), you're fine all covered up and snuggly.

Hey Den,

You forgot to mention that people who sleep with their head under covers get a nice secondary benefit from cpap: they are protected from smelling certain emissions of theirs or their bed partner's.

It however doesn't cure the problem of the dog sleeping near your XPAP's intake. Jim

As a native (south) Floridian...I always wondered if folks really lived in those
bitter cold states. Brrrrrrrr...I'd want to hiberate!

Yes the DOG can Be DEADLY !!!!

As Den says, the intake is away from the covers, so you will be just fine.

As an added bonus, being under the covers you should be safe from any monsters hiding under the bed.
