mack's silicon earplugs

Post by ractar28 » Sun Oct 05, 2008 12:18 am

Okay, you guys are like a danged broken record on those things. You've talked me into trying some. I saw one person found them at Walgreens, can anyone else suggest any other places to look?

Can you re-use the stuff or do you use a new one each night? If you have to use a new one each night, is there an online store that sells them in bulk since shipping is costly for handling such lightweight items.

Also, while I'm at it, has anyone tried simple double-sided tape to try to seal the mask to the face? It's one of those things that's been in the back of my mind but have never tried it. Fortunately, I was smart enough not to try super-glue .. YET

Rite-Aid, WalMart, etc., etc. Just ask the pharmacist if you don't know where to look. They come in packs of 6 pairs. One ear plug lasts 2-4 nights. Depending on how big a mask area you need to cover, some get by using just half an ear plug. I doubt you would save anything buying them onlne unless you were buying enough other stuff to get the free shipping. It seems to me I paid like $5, maybe $6 maximum, for a package of 6 pairs (12 ear plugs).

A big thank you to whomever mentioned the earplugs. After i belatedly realized that you-all were
not sticking them in your ears, i rolled one out and stuck it onto the hitherto unusable
nosepiece mask that comes with the ComfortLite II. It stuck pretty well (my Resmed
doesn't give readouts, so i am guessing) plus tights around the head, and the tip of my nose got chapped in there, but it's a nice
change from the CLII nasal thingies. ( If you happen to have two gigantic hairy dogs with underfur
as soft and fine as angora, the silicon will instantly attract a lovely furry mustache, but it is a small
price to pay as the dogs are very warm during the Wisconsin winter.LOL)

Okay, you guys are like a danged broken record on those things.

I was afraid that would happen. I'll try to stifle.

If I didn't read it enough times, I'd not have given it a second thought. I haven't picked them up yet, but will, and when multiple people on here say they resolve an issue, then I really am glad to see that information getting out there.
