Personally, I just want to know what everyone around here has against pond scum. There are plenty of us pond-scummers in the world, and we deserve our fair representation too!

Didn't Robbin Williams say that pond scum was just a euphemistic crutch for people who couldn't handle the real term "aquatic algae"? Or something like that?

As a side note I used to be real proud of my lawn mower. Then one day a friend, who was helping me with a project out in my garage, exclaimed: "Hey! That's the same lawn mower Forrest Gump used in that movie! Hahahahah!!!!"

True story - last boyfriend and I loved Forest Gump so much we decided to have a Forest Gump themed wedding. Everyone who came would have to dress up as their favorite FG character. It all fell apart because we kept fighting over which of us got to be FG.

But just because I made it up doesn't mean it is not true. In fact there is a big group of us over in one corner that strongly believes there is no polarization.

Those slides are actually very common here and around NYC. In fact, news media have begun referring to New York City and its suburbs as "the grater New York area."
