Well the dme company seemed kind of ticked at me for changing my pressure on my own. "The doctor only ordered it at pressure of 7" they said. So now I am down to 7 again and feel like sh*t. Well tonight I am supposed to do an overnight pulse ox and it will I guess show something like a desat with the apnea periods. The doctor I have is really my endocrinologist for my thryoid problems but he also does internal medicine. He really hardly ever orders cpap so in my opinion I am a nurse and it is my therapy so whats the big deal!

Well everyone I am still struggling with this cpap thing. I am just finally past feeling comfortable going to bed with my husband and looking like a frigging elephant with the cpap mask on but I still feel terrible in the morning like I have not slept a wink. I titrated my machine up to 8 from 7 and actually my AHI continued to be acually worse- 8-10. On pressure of 7 it ranges 5.6-8. Seems to have minimal leak. Thought possibly it was my temperpedic neck pillow (I have been using for several years for neck problems) But last night I used a regular pillow (synthetic feather) and woke up feeling terrible with a headache and sore neck. I do mouth breath mostly. I have tried everything possible to keep my nose from getting congested without any luck. Close to giving up!

By the way I had the dme talk with me about my sleep study and in it they titrated my pressure up to 7 with a ffm and I seemed to do great with it...2 nice REM periods. Go figure!

Goose, I noticed in one of your previous posts you mentioned that "the next time you take the card out you'll change the settings". Can you explain why the card has to be out when making changes to the settings? Or maybe I misunderstood.

I remember feeling that way just a year ago. Here is a thread in which I posted a reply over a year ago explaining how I felt much like you about cpap and husband. viewtopic.php?f=1&t=19446&p=167694&hili ... th#p167694

Now I don't worry about it at all and have a wonderful love life with no impact from being on XPAP. : )))
