My guess is that they are using overrun or misprinted boxes. When a box manufacturer has an order to make some number of boxes for a particular company, they produce more than were ordered and they produce boxes that were not printed properly. There is nothing wrong with these boxes except for the printing. In many cases, the box manufacturer can fold and assemble misprints with the printing on the inside. In some cases the box manufacturer ends up getting stuck with an entire order of printed boxes. These boxes are new and unused.
I order electronic parts and veterinary supplies from companies that use these surplus boxes. My most recent electronics order came in a box that said that it contained fake crab. Using surplus boxes is a Good Thing, it saves resources and it saves money.

Extremely unprofessional to receive medical supplies in a box with such a label. While the box may be perfectly fine and previously unused it certainly does not inspire confidence with the recipient... as already expressed here by Snoozy Q.Snoozy Q wrote:Does their using an Alaska Fish Fertilizer box as a shipping carton strike anyone else as unprofessional, or is it just me?
I wonder if a carton labeled with the name of an explosive plastered on the side, oh say something like ANFO, would make it through the mail system.

I get the impression something so labeled would be less than likely to prefer 'return shipping guaranteed'. It might be an interesting prank, but unless you want to get put on the <insert-the-acronym-of-your-favorite-spy-agency-here> watch list for the rest of your life, it's probably not a wise exercise, eh?Paul56 wrote:Extremely unprofessional to receive medical supplies in a box with such a label. Definitely UNprofessional! I am (and always have been) all for recycling stuff, but when the boxes are pre-printed with another entities logo, etc.......that's a stretch. Peeling off shipping labels and reusing the boxes is fine (to a degree) in my opinion, but when they're pre-printed with other "stuff" not related to the business, then that's where I draw the line.
