I was wondering if I lost 50 lbs, didn't eat late, ran 3 miles a day and didn't drink my two glasses of merlot at night if I could ever expect to get rid of Apnea and of course my CPAP.
Can Apnea be Cured?????

Well... it is possible, HOWEVER, not likely. It depends on how severe your apnea is... how many events per hour, how low your oxygen went, etc... and also what exactly is causing the obstructions. Usually there is more than one blockage so to speak. Those things however might help your apnea to be less severe.
In the book, "Sleep Apnea, The Phantom of the Night", by Johnson, Broughton & Halberstadt, they state:
"Sometimes a small weight loss, even 10 to 15 pounds, can reverse sleep apnea and reduce snoring. A major reduction from severely obese to normal body weight can actually cure sleep apnea for some people."

Just losing weight isn't gonna do it. I'm 23, 6'0 and 165 lbs... Not much more there that I can lose. My apnea is about 60/hr, so I thinks its considered severe.
My two older bro's have it and thier much overwieght, but I really do think apnea being hereditary has some relevance to it.
