Latex sensitivity

Post by bademento@aol.com » Fri Sep 12, 2008 10:12 am

I was not in the test group but want to make you aware that people who are sensitive to latex cannot use a mask with latex. I ended up in the hospital with a reaction. My entire face blew up and looked like I spent 24 hours sitting in the hot sun. At that time I had to get a mask with denim to eliminate latex. Are masks still made with latex?

I don't know of any currently manufactured CPAP mask with latex. They are all made of silicone now.

Cheers,
B.

I currently have a stash of Nasal Aire II cannulas in Small or Extra Small. Please PM me if you would like them. I'm interested in bartering for something strange and wonderful that I don't currently own. Or a Large size NAII cannula. :)

Almost all that I've ever seen and read about specifically state that they are "Latex Free".

Den

"Passover" Humidification - ResMed Ultra Mirage FF - Encore Pro w/Card Reader & MyEncore software - Chiroflow pillow
