ARGGHHH

OK, I tried out the machine and used the nasal pillow full face mask. My machine showed that I had an excellent mask fit. But being that this was the first time I used the machine, I wasn't sure if the EPR was on. I got out the booklet and read how to access that info via the lcd menu, but found that my RT did not set the machine for full read-out like that. (The EPR or Humidifier options never showed up.) I need to call her and see if she can set that up for me.

The machine was set at a initial range of 5-8. It began at five, but eventually ended up at 8. Is that an indication that I need at least a level of 8?

I was a bit disappointed that I couldn't get into my normal sleeping position--usually somewhere between being on my stomach and my side. I laid on my back or partially on my side, and it was difficult for me to fall asleep. I think I was pretty wired up from this all being so different and new. I ended up dozing just a little with it on, and then I took it all off for some real sleep. But I will try again tonight.

Thanks,
All in Knots

Why waste the time calling.......

While pressing the Down arrow button, press and hold down the right hand button. Hold both buttons down together for several seconds.

That brings up the "Welcome" clinical menu.

Use the up/down button to navigate to the settings menu.

Use the left button to "Change" settings. A "Change" will not be saved until you hit the left key again under the word "Apply".

It's safe to walk through the changes just to see what they would be. When looking at a "Change" setting, the up/down arrow buttons will scroll through the possible changes of that setting. As long as you don't press the left button under the word "Apply", no change will actually happen. If you want to back out of the "Change" without changing the setting, press the right-hand button under the word "Exit."

Use the right button under the word "Exit" to go backwards from whatever menu section you're in. Hit "Exit" several times to exit your way backwards completely out of the clinical menu.

Thanks, Slinky and Den! Due to your help, I was able to adjust my machine a little bit. I opened the range to be 5-10, and the EPR to 3.
