Many times there are veterans groups who help with guidance on VA problems. If your Legion Post doesn't already have a volunteer, ask the Patient Advocate, they often refer patients to these volunteers when they can't help thru 'formal' channels.
As in Nodzy's situ.formal channels would prob have worked better. These docs do need a medical license.

I've been with my local VAMC for over 20 years now. Yes, they were pretty slack outfit back then but the improvements to the clinic style has made really nice improvements.
One of the things that this site has is constant reminders to be pro-active in all of our treatments. I appreciate that, because sometimes I just feel like "doing what they say" without question. This board has helped me get over that.
My VAMC does an excellent job in all areas of my health needs. I was really worried when I heard they might shutdown the Lakewood WA facility...now they are adding to it.
If you are trully unhappy with your care team, you can always request a transfer to another
