Anyone here diagnosed w/glaucoma prior to using their cpap? Has the use of cpap improved your eye pressure to a normal range? Terry

I was diagnosed with anguler glaucoma prior to cpap. No, it didn't really improve my pressures. I still had to start using eye drops (Istalol).

Thanks tater. I have high pressure in my eyes but because of the thickness of my cornea it is ok for it to be higher than someon w/ a normal cornea. Hope springs eternal...just hoping that clears up as I have cpap therapy too! Terry

My corneas are also thicker than the average person's but even allowing a couple of points for the thicker cornea, my pressures were too high so I had to go on Istalol drops in my eyes every morning. The pressures came down nicely then. I was on cpap for 5 months before being put on glaucoma medication. They had hoped the cpap might help but it didn't. I had a field of vision test and it showed some signs of early glaucoma and then I was sent to a eye specialist and they did a laser scan which is not subjective like the field of vision test and it definitely showed signs of early glaucoma. After being on the eye drops for 3 months. my vision had improved which doesn't happen very often with glaucoma so I'm thankful for that. I haven't suffered any noticible vision loss either. There's a lot to be greatful for. I hope cpap brings you pressures down. This is just my experience.
