Magnetic therapy & CPAP?

Post by Virtus Velox » Sun Aug 17, 2008 8:04 am

I've been reading so many of the great posts here, starting to get blurred eyes
One thing I have not seen in any of the posts is the use of magnetic therapy devices, such as, magnetic mattresses and pillows.
These items took 31 years of hurt away from me in four days. I only wished I'd known about CPAP those 16 years ago...I'd probably be able to leap tall buildings in a single bound now
The only reason I mention this is because of all the posts regarding the individual's inability to sleep, even with CPAP. I'd let my children go before I'd ever let my sleep system go! (calm down, just joking to make a point )
I'd love to hear if anyone else has joined these two modalities, and how it has improved their situations.
Thanks,
Virt

I haven't used magnetics, but did want to say hi and how much I enjoyed your North "wet" - which is where I live. Enjoy the thunderstorm last night? Glad we didn't lose electricity. Also, looking forward to the forum member's responses on your magnetic question.

Magnetic therapy is an unfounded, unproven crock of s***.

Interesting side note - watching one of those Ghost Hunter shows last night, and they mentioned they found a big magnetic field in this one room. They told the homeowner that large magnetic fields have been shown to cause people to perceive that they see and hear things that aren't there. Like ghosts.

Or miraculous cures?

LOL,
Babs

I currently have a stash of Nasal Aire II cannulas in Small or Extra Small. Please PM me if you would like them. I'm interested in bartering for something strange and wonderful that I don't currently own. Or a Large size NAII cannula. :)

Your eloquent highness may be right And, even if it works because someone thinks it does, especially those with pain - I say yeah - it works!

Interesting response. I hope your perceptions are open to self review in the future. Might check out the School of Nursing report from Virginia. Wish I could share with you the reports of trauma surgeons, dentists, as well as other professionals but I won't. Your vitriolic reply has shown that you have no interest in alternative modalities to help those in chronic pain. Good luck to you.

Does it matter to you that I used to sell Nikken products?

Dear, been there, done that, bought the t-shirt, done with it.

Great if it works for you. Search this board for more people with my response.

And then there's this --> http://news.yahoo.com/s/afp/usitinterne ... zU.dfWn414

Imagine the ghosts we'll all see if this becomes commonplace! Maybe it's time for me to get a degree in psychology...

Okay, let me just say this - I spent several years sleeping on magnetic mattresses, sitting on magnetic seat covers in the car, and wearing various magnets on my body, in my shoes, etc.

Never did a thing for me. Ditto the rest of my family. Took us years to admit it. And THOUSANDS AND THOUSANDS AND THOUSANDS of dollars.

Sue me for trying to save others from that debt.

Was never trying to 'sell' anything, just asked if others have used the combined methods. And no, it doesn't matter.

I once tried magnetic therapy.

It caused santa and his sleigh to fall off the roof, The tooth fairy put the money under the wrong kids pillow, and the Easter Bunny broke all the eggs.

I have appointment with a witch doctor.

Amazing how people can believe almost anything.

But then again, there may be something going on that is beyond our understanding.

But many studies have debunked the magnetic therapy.
Count me in the doubtful anad skeptical column.

Lots of rain in Jax.

That's where I'm parked too. It ranks up there with 'I'm a chiropractor - I AM a real doctor and I CAN cure cancer'.
