I can't chat. I used to be able to. The only place I see anything in reference to chat is on the top right side of the screen. Right now it says "8 Chatting Live". I can scroll my mouse over and see who is in there, but the screen opens up blank????

Do I need something to be able to get in chat??

Checking to see if posting works for me.

Also, yes, please move the "Log-In" to the left-hand side, as someone else suggested, it's almost cut off on my screen as well.

And the missing "delete" button as others have mentioned.

Oh, and I really liked the "Who is online" at the top rather than the bottom like it is now.

Did anybody have to go back in and redo their equipment stuff in their profile? Not that it matters that much, just curious.

Chat window

Hope someone didn't already mention this and I missed it. If so, oh well. I right clicked on chat and chose Open In New Window.

What happened to the red balloon?

Post by ozij » Wed Aug 13, 2008 10:45 pm

Bugs / questions: Where is the cpapopedia / red balloon link for newbies?

And then: Congratulations, Johnny and crew.

I'm getting used to the new format, beginning to like it. Like the new options too - never noticed in the past the you could cancel flash and links in you profile - that's for grumpyoleslinky

And I really loved the fact, and the way you linked to other forums when this one was down!

To those who hadn't noticed: the links were to "other reputable forums" talkaboutsleep and apneasupport.org.

Those links, and that way of linking say so much about the people who run this forum!

Thanks for everything, Johnny!
O.

Bug Report:

When using the Quote feature the first quote=xpost] works just fine, but there is no closing bracket to the code [/ ] . This results in the quote appearing as ordinary text, rather than highlighted.

ozij, Thanks for that tip! I had missed that option. I do not like anything moving on the screen, unless I am watching a video I want

Looks good Johnny.....
I logged into chat to check it -- opens in new tab for me (Firefox w/tabs. Also have IE7 w/tabs but rarely use the M$ product if ever).
Also the mouse over for the list works for me also (that's why I logged in -- so I could check to see if it showed who was there by the mouse over suggested earlier).
I also note that the CPAP FAQ red balloon is no longer there....combined with something???
How about adding some more smilies?? (had to complain about something or ya'll wouldn't believe it was really me )

It's going to take some gettin' used to, but you can put me in the "like it" column.........

Oh. I've never had to log in twice that I can recall -- but I have the button checked that makes sure I'm logged in when I re-connect......

cheers
goose

I do have to say that although it was a shock when I first came in -- I thought OMG, someone has taken over cpaptalk.com!!! But I'm getting used to the change and I think I like it.

Amazingly well done, Johnny. Thanks

cpap FAQ are in the light blue stripe.

User control panel(new messages) view your posts bigger font smaller font FAQ members log in/out

Brenda

OOPS! Those are forum FAQs not cpap FAQS...Sorry

Placement of the "Report Spam" button...

Post by JayC » Thu Aug 14, 2008 5:11 am

Can the "Report Spam" button be moved?

It is too prominent on the far left....would be available yet out of the way on the far right.

I have inadvertantly hit it several times as my page was slowly loading (dial up, not this site!!) Wouldn't happen if not far left....

It used to be far right, right?

I finally got to log in, but it took about 15 attempts. It kept switching back to the unlogged-state-home-screen a few seconds after saying I was logged in.

Checking to see if my smilies work. They never would with the old format, even though it was checked that they were enabled.

Possible Bug

Post by -SWS » Thu Aug 14, 2008 8:33 am

If this is a bug, it just started the morning of August 14th: I can successfully log in using Firefox 2.0.0.16, but do not have the EDIT button available for any of my own posts.

------------------------------------------------------------

On edit: I now have the ability to edit this post (my most recent post) but still cannot edit any of my previous posts, including this morning's post on this page:
