I suggest using soreness protection mask. Protecta-Gel product it protects your face against redness and sores.

I would suggest not trolling outdated posts, (9 years old), maybe even reading them to find the best answers that had been posted 9 years before, and many times since.

I am thinking spammer promoting that product.

I did go look at the product and decided not to remove the post because it seems legit and someone might want to try it and it's not something cpap.com sells. So no conflict of interest.

I looked at it... makes the other gel products look tiny. I can't imagine ever getting a seal on a full face mask with that monstrosity.
Seriously doubt he will drum up any business here.

I use a nasal mask and got pressure marks on the bridge of my nose; after 3 or 4 days was unbearably tender, so that my glasses hurt during the daytime. I don't know why I did it, but I threw the hose over the headboard and now no more pain. Not sure why, but it works for me.

I used nasal pillows and chin strap for years, but because of mouth breathing I had to have the chin strap so tight it was really, really uncomfortable, so I switched to a full-face mask. And I also had the same problems with the bridge of my nose. However, your DME's comment about all full-face masks is ridiculous. As you now know, finding a good mask determines whether or not you will stick with cpap therapy. After too much BS from my DME, and a very limited selection of masks, I took the bull by the horns and on my own tried various masks from our host's website, using their return insurance. I finally found one that was incredibly gentle on the bridge of my nose and didn't leak - the Simplus. However, because everyone's face is different, this may or may not work with you. Because of the seriousness of untreated apnea, I was committed to finding a mask I could live with, even if it cost me money out of my own pocket (which it did). The other suggestion I have for you, regardless of what mask you end up using, is try mask liners. I find they make a huge difference, both for comfort and stopping leaks. I have tried the padacheek one and the RemZzzzs, and I prefer the RemZzzzs. I find I can use a RemZzzzs liner for a week, so the cost isn't that high. Anyway, hope you can find a mask that works for you.
