rubberchimp posted a link to a pdf about exercise on Jul 31 in the thread
about exercise to cure OSA it looks like this pdf is for real.

http://www.sdhct.uk/patientcare/pil/23558.pdf I hope I typed that right!

Then there is playing the harmonica or the didgeridoo can help some. I may
try these exercises myself.

Well blowing wind certainly won't hurt but don't be disappointed if doesn't help. It may be fun though
President-pretender, J. Biden, said "the DNC has built the largest voter fraud organization in US history". Too bad they didn’t build the smartest voter fraud organization and got caught.

non-obese apneics?

Post by Captain_Midnight » Mon Aug 11, 2008 12:18 pm

Poster Emak asks...is there anyone here who is actually within 10-20 lbs of ideal bodyweight but still has OSA?

And, as many above have written, absolutely.

I recall reading that about 2/3 of apneics are overweight.

Although I have had some skirmishes with obesity, I'm of normal weight, and throughout my youth (as an undiagnosed apneic) I was of normal weight. And, I've always maintained physical fitness.

Of the apneics I know, only about half are overweight.

Obesity is only one of the risk factors for one to develop OSA. An excellent review of OSA and related symptoms and sequelae can be found...http://www.emedicine.com/neuro/TOPIC419.HTM
