I currently have a stash of Nasal Aire II cannulas in Small or Extra Small. Please PM me if you would like them. I'm interested in bartering for something strange and wonderful that I don't currently own. Or a Large size NAII cannula. :)

I don't recall seeing this one mentioned: "WaterHorse"

Now don't laugh too hard.... My grandkids brought it over (Netficks) and I thought the movie was pretty good but the cinematography was outstanding, and the seamless animation was a "How did they DO that"? If you have kids over 7 it is suitable, younger if they can take a few loud, scary scenes.

I've got Waterhorse in my queue to watch. I'm really looking forward to it. I love alot of children's movies. One of my favorite is "Ring of Bright Water" from back in the sixties.

Currently waiting to watch "The Number 23" and "Monsoon Wedding." I keep putting them off for some reason. Thank gosh Netflix doesn't have late fees!!!

Rooster... is that the REAL you? Recent? If so, congrats! I have noticed more "real" pics lately and thought about the same, but am still looking around.

I think Rooster told us a year ago that the kids in the picture now have kids of their own.

But I could be wrong about that. I do know they are much older than they appear there.

Cheers,
B.

It's hard to come up with "favorites" when you have a broad spectrum of ones that you like.
I've always been fond of westerns ("Jeremiah Johnson" and "Quigley Down Under"), movies based on real-life events ("The Longest Day" and "Saving Private Ryan".....however they've never been able to get ONE movie about Wyatt Earp or the Gunfight at the OK Corral or his life reasonably close to the historical events I've read), movies with a "what if" theme ("It's a Wonderful Life" and "Mr. Destiny"), and ones that have impressive technological achievement ("Cars" - fantastic animation, is funny and also has a love story in it)......to name a few that I don't think have already been mentioned.....many of which I like, too. Another one (just kind of a cute movie) that I haven't seen for a long time and wasn't able to record from the beginning was "Year of the Comet".

Also, many of the Eastwood and Schwarzenegger movies.

Den (I'll be back)

OK, confession time, that is an old photo of me. Here is a photo of me from three years ago before I started cpap therapy and a second one from this weekend after six months of good cpap therapy. Isn't CPAP therapy wonderful?

Most of what is proposed above is GREAT:

But, what about:

Second Hand Lions
What Dreams May Come

And, as for Patrick Swayze: his movies seemed to be all over the place, to me, when I wanted to see more high quality from him...I wondered if he had lousy taste in the choice of films. When I read an interview where he said that he would like to try every experience that he could, the movie choices made a lot more sense.

That said, Dirty Dancing is his best. He did all of that film on a bad knee...<sheesh>. I wanted to dive through the TV screen when he danced with interviewer Barbara Walters (after that movie came out)--and take her place. If you are a fan, and haven't seen the added extras on the DVD version, I would recommend watching with the author's comments.

BTW, the choreographer on "High School Musical" worked on Dirty Dancing. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kenny_Ortega

Loved Second Hand Lions. Immediately reminds me I may have forgotten to mention "The Straight Story." I LOVE THAT FILM!!!!

I think the cable networks go into heavy rotation on films by stars when they die or are in the news. Swayze is battling cancer - could be why he's in rotation. I've noticed an upsurge in Bernie Mack films this week since his death.

Cheers,
B.

Second Hand Lions
What Dreams May Come
=======================

Second Hand Lions is in my collection and I like it a lot. I didn't get What Dreams May Come. Don't know if it was the visuals or what, but it went over my head.

One Robin Williams movie most probably missed was "Life as a House". It wasn't comedy, but came across as sincere and I liked it.

I have a short list of the movies I like the best, with number one being ON the BEACH with Gregory Peck, and Ava Gardner, Fed Astaire and Anthony Perkins. Out standing movie even if it dated now. I remember seeing it when it first came out, I really liked it then and I still do! I have it on VCR.
Anyway here is the rest of my list:

2. Lord of the Rings (Fantastic movie but not near as good as the books, I've read it at least a dozen times)

3. Titanic ( Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet) One of my all time favorites!

4. Miracle on 34 Street ( original version with Maureen O'Hara and John Payne) I watch every year!

5. White Christmas (If Bing Crosby is in it, it's going to be good!)
