How has it helped you??

Post by carbonman » Fri Jul 25, 2008 1:10 pm

At the suggestion of crossfit,
I started thinking about all the things that I have learned in the
past month from this site and how they have helped.
Had this information and support not been available, I may have
quit before I ever saw any results.
The results I am seeing and feeling, may have taken many months to
be realized, if not for the little tips/tricks I got here.
I may or may not have figured some of them out.

Initial education into CPAP, what it is, how it works.
Initial education into the psychological aspect of CPAP.
How do I deal w/this?
Realization that I am not alone in this
Education on how to deal w/DME on initial visit.
Empowerment in dealing w/DME on the first and all visits.
Help in acceptance that this is my life.
Realization of how important data availablity, everyday is
Gentle nudge to become better educated in machine models and
what each is capable of.
chin strap for mouth leak
Pap-cap /aroma therapy
polident strips for mouth leak
Support to make DME provide me w/best machine possible
Support to follow through and get best machine possible
Lansinoh
Suggestions for optimal settings to get the best therapy from my machine

I know it is a broken record.....BUT
for all the CPAP vets that contribute here.....

THANKS!

If I wasn't living and seeing and feeling the changes that
are happening to my mind and body,
I don't know that I would believe the story.

"If your therapy is improving your health but you're not doing anything
to see or feel those changes, you'll never know what you're capable of."
I said that.

Carbonman,

I, too, owe my sincerest thanks for all the help I've gotten from this great group. That's why I keep coming back - I keep learning new things all the time.

I'm so glad that you're improving as time goes on. I hope it continues.

Have a great weekend, catch some extra zzzzzzzzzzzzzz's if you can!

Cathy

Hey carbonman - sounds like you've been catching up on some sleep

I too am very grateful for everyone here, newbie or vet. I've been around here for a year and still learn something new every day!

Normally I'm not gushy sentimental, but let's see how many join me in a
