Usually dreams are simply the subconcious mind's way of venting excess steam or resolving conflicts and frustrations that arise out of our daily lives. So DD, your very strange dream could easily be based on nothing more than your observation or frustration that things can seem normal or even good on the surface and in reality be very bad or wrong. And Babs, I would suspect that your house building dreams arise out of a latent desire to help, protect, provide for and shelter people.

Now the other night I dreamt I ate a 10 pound marshmallow and, ever since then I have been missing a pillow

MISSING PILLOW?

Here I was waiting for you to tell us you're pregnant!!!

Thanks for the great laugh!!!!

I have come to believe that my house dreams are my way of nurturing myself in a way I can't do while awake. I fulfill all my fantasies while sleeping, which is NICE, just sorta sad when I have to wake up.

Cheers,
B.

At least your 'marshmallow' had lots of 'fiber'...

No doubt, about the dream interpretation.

My daughter had a similar dream years ago. She dreamt she was walking around with a giant marshmallow. We found her sleep walking with a couch pillow.

Here I was enjoying this thread and thinking "whew glad i never had a dream like that, then someone had to rain on my parade:
pjwalman wrote:Once I was diagnosed but before I'd gotten my CPAP, I dreamt I was sleeping and needed to wake up but couldn't move, then suddenly realized I HAD to move or I was going to die. I THREW my body upward in both my dream and in reality, gasping for air, and realized at that point that I must have just had a doozy of an apnea.
I now remember having had several different dreams where I HAD to do something or I (a) would die or (b) would never wake up (probably same as (a)!)

Now the things I had to do were bizarre: guess the type of cooking oil being shown in a line-up on tv.... or some other riddle. And if I didn't guess it, I couldnt wake up. It's not the same as dreaming that you're being smothered though, I guess! (These are the dreams I get after the alarm clocks rings but I don't want to wake up .. that was pre-CPAP, I haven't had one like this since!). I have had plenty of times where I woke up choking/gasping for air, pre-CPAP, but I don't remeber having a dream to go with it.

Another dream I have a lot is not being able to move - and the harder I try to run, the slower I move. Tho that's supposed to mean something, but i dont remember what. A similar dream I have is my sister in the middle of a lake, and the more I paddle to get to her the further away I go from her!
