Jeff......
Your lady may find that sinus drainage is the variable that causes snoring on some nights...and none on other nights.
To make sure she is successful.....before she goes on the hose....she needs to be absolutely convinced that she needs CPAP therapy. If her sub-conscious is not in favor of the project, she won't be "compliant".
Rather than send my lady for a sleep test, I purchased an Oximeter....which she wore for 10 nights....so that we could gather data on her O2 saturation levels.
Once she saw printed reports showing that she was below where she should be, there was no question in her mind what she had to do. I purchased a second CPAP machine....just like mine....and she uses it.
Once she realized that she was feeling better during the day, I bought a 3rd CPAP machine...so that we'd have a spare (or travel machine).
She has never had a sleep study. We did it "DIY" style.
