Polident strips

Post by houltkin » Wed Jul 09, 2008 12:17 pm

I have noticed a few posts about using polident strips on the lips. Is there any particular procedure for removing the strips in the morning--other than "carefully"?

Well, obviously you're not a girl.

Girls know that you can remove makeup, and other "goo" from your face by using an oil-based product.

In this case, I'd recommend grabbing some vegetable oil out of the kitchen, and rubbing that into the strips. Let it soak in a few minutes. Then rip them off. Then rub a little more oil onto the residue, and remove it with a tissue.

Then wash your face good.

Good luck!

I just peel them off and when I get thru washing my face, I wipe my lips off with the warm wash cloth. Nothing to it.

If you throw them in the toilet while doing your business there, it may take a couple of days for them to go away....LOL.

Polident strip removal

Actually, I'm not a girl. I am a retired old lady who worked outdoors in the Alaska Bush for several years. Trying to be beautiful lost its appeal with my first overnight in an equipment shelter on the Tundra, so I gave up on makeup a long time ago. Now I like the au natural look.

I usually remove adhesives very successfully with WD-40, but I figured somebody on this board would have a better idea.

Thanks.

I found it quite easy (after a few rough attempts) to remove the strips from my lips. I just wet them with my tongue and gently push or roll the strip off my lips - first bottom then top or whatever works for you -and deposit in a tissue and I'm good to go. The strip will soften with saliva and be easy to remove. It did take a bit to figure out a good way, though. Slow and steady wins the race.

Life's too short to spend it worrying about the small stuff - after all, it's just small stuff.

Bear grease is easier on the complexion than WD-40. And it has the added benefit of keeping mosquitoes at bay!
