ResScan data

Post by lebedjev » Sun Jul 06, 2008 2:51 am

Hi.

I have the ResMed ResScan software.
The data I can read is Leak, Pressure,Events and AHI. When I look in the options menue it looks like that the software is able to read more than that. Like Snore index, minute ventilation etc. Why cant I see that data? Is it due to my CPAP or what?

Thanks for your support.

According to the picture you've chosen you have the Resmed S8 AutoSet Vantage. There is also a Resmed S8 II AutoSet. However, all of the Resmed S8 and Resmed S8 II devices look the same. So first, I must ask if it really is the Resmed S8 AutoSet Vantage that you have.

And then I need to ask you exactly which version of the Resmed ResScan software you have.

And last, I must ask you if you purchased your Resmed from a North American online DME supplier or if you bought it locally as there are some minor differences in at least some of the Resmed devices between those for the North American market and those for the rest of the world.

Hello.

I have got it from my hospital in Sweden. We call it S8 AutoSet Spirit. (Version I) There is a newer version II as well, but I don't have that.
I think it is the same as Vantage in US.

My software version is 3.4.

Thanks

Good. I had the Resmed S8 AutoSet Vantage, the equivalent of your Spirit.

And I also have the ResScan v.3.4 (actually according to the About in the Help section v.03.04.007 [2003-2007]).

I've been switched to the new Resmed VPAP Auto which is a bi-level so haven't used my Vantage/Spirit since August of 07 which is before I got ResScan 3.4. I was still using AutoScan 5.7 (1997-2005) then, an earlier version of the newer ResScan software.

I just did a download of the data from the Vantage to 3.4. Despite the Vantage being an option to choose, the ResScan 3.4 recognizes it as a Spirit.

On the Statistics page the only data reported is:
Viewing Range; Product & Serial Number; Device Settings, Usage, AHI & AI; Leak and Pressure.

On the Summary Graphs page:
Usage, Leak, Pressure, AHI & AI

On the Detailed Graphs page:
Leak, AHI, Events, Leak and Pressure.

When I check my Vantage in the Clinicians' Menu it shows the internal software to be SX3960202.

I suspect it is the internal software version that determines just what data the device is capable of reporting to ResScan 3.4.

I say that because w/my VPAP Auto which has an internal software version SX4430200 and on the Statistics page it reports:
Viewing Range; Product & Serial Number; Device Settings, Usage, AHI & AI; Minute Ventilation, Leak, Respiratory Rate, Pressure, Calcuated Pressure and Tidal Volume.

On the Summary Graphs page:
Usage, Leak, Tidal Volume, Minute Ventilation, Pressure, Respiratory Rate and AHI & AI.

On the Detailed Graphs page:
Leak, Minute Ventilation, Tidal Volume, Respiratory Rate, AHI, AutoSet Pressure and Events.

And, of course, none of the devices can report Oximetry Statistics w/o the ResLink and Oximeter and Sensor.

You need a Reslink module to capture the additional information and transfer it to ResScan.

Cheers,

Bill

Ah, BillBolton! Where HAVE you been? Shame on your for leaving me here all alone to answer these Resmed questions! Look it how simply you were able to answer the question whilst I had to do all that unnecessacy typing.

Sum of a gun, you didn't even stop in to visit me. And here I am just 2/3 of the country east of where you were visiting. Tsk, tsk.

Welcome back to the forum. I sure missed you!
