silent nite dental device

I've been using the Ultra Mirage Full Face Mask for a couple of weeks. I really like it. It doesn't leak and is quite comfortable. I went to a full face mask because I'm such a terrible mouth breather. I used the Breeze Nasal Pillows before that and loved them but had to tape my mouth shut and wear a chin strap or I would mouth breathe. I have my humidifier turned up all of the way with the Ultra Mirage but I still get dry mouth really bad. I go to sleep with my mouth closed but once I'm asleep, the mouth comes open no matter what I do. I just can't seem to keep my big mouth shut. I don't have any leaks with the Ultra Mirage but I have dry mouth just as bad or worse than I did with the Breeze Nasal Pillows. I had hoped I could get rid of the dry mouth. The Ultra Mirage is really comfortable and I don't have to wear a chin strap. Has anyone out there ever been to the dentist and tried a Silient Night Dental Device? I'm not looking for something to cure the sleep apnea. Just something to relieve the dry mouth while I'm on cpap. If anybody out there has tried it, does insurance cover such devices and is it expensive and most importantly, does it stop the dry mouth? Has anybody else ever had this problem using full face masks and the humidifiers turned up all the way but still have dry mouth or am I just weird? I would appreciate input from anybody out there. I asked my sleep doctor about it and he said there wasn't anything else I could do but I don't accept that.

Yes, some folks have insurance which will cover it. It works great!! It
and the Aussie heated hose are fantastic products. The Silent Nite
originated in Germany and is produced in the US by Glidewell Labs.
I did extensive oximeter tests with this device. When I wear it I don't
snore and my mouth doesn't dry out. Also I don't have the nightly
Oxygen desats. Some folks have been able to get completely off
of CPAP with a dental device / Pillar procedure combination. I will be
getting the Pillar done later in the year. The big advantage of this
comfortable device is that it is the best chin strap made, without the
typical chin starp problems. My chin straps would come off my egghead
during the night. Moreover, after a couple of nights they would stretch out of shape. The Silent Nite keeps my mouth closed, but lets me breathe through my mouth, if I must. I can drink water with it in, and also talk somewhat.

I have been having good luck with the Fisher & Paykel FlexFit HC431 full face mask. It goes under your chin and tends to keep your mouth closed. Works better than a chin strap for me. See cpap.com link:
