NetFlix, but for CPAP masks

Post by DCTom » Mon Jun 13, 2005 2:27 pm

We belong to an internet movie club called NetFlix. You rent movies online and they send them to you in the mail. When you're done you just return them.

I'm wondering if a group of us could create something like that for CPAP masks. You'd rent them online and not actually sleep with them, but just try them on for comfort. That way you could get a box full of 'em at once, and return them all a few days later.

If I had known I would have lived this long, I would have taken better care of myself.

I think that would be great! At the very least maybe, each manufacturer could offer to let customers try out a sample of each type of mask to see which ones are the best fit for each customer.

I honestly don't see any reason that would prevent a company from offering this. It would not actually cost a manufacturer a cent to do this because they could write it off on their taxes as a business expense.

Now, how would we go about making that a reality??

Sanitation......Who is going to sterilize the device and to what level.

I know I'm a pretty clean person, however, I don't know you..

That's a good point.

Yes, one would have to consider that. But don't you think the company could send along some cleaning supplies, i.e. soaps, etc. to sanitize the masks before and after use? I would certainly be willing and able to clean one before it touched my face.

Of course I don't know about YOU, either.

Or, maybe the whole idea is just not viable. However, if everyone just gave up that easily on every new concept nothing new would ever be accomplished.
