Im new, only been on CPAP for a few days. My problem is I am a mouth breather thus I wear the Quattro FF mask. My CPAP is the Resmed S8 Elite II. I have a siezure disorder, one side effect of my siezure medecine is dry mouth, so my mouth is continually dry normally. The CPAP obviously has made it worse at night. So Ive been messing with the settings on the humidifier, started at 3 that didnt help, tried 4 no good, when I put it on 5 I woke up to water dripping inside my mask. (I use the H3I humidifier)should I look at another humidifier or are their other options I can try to help without my mask being dripping wet. I have the tube wrapped which was supposed to help with rain out, well I dont think it does.
Newbie question about "rain out"...

Hate the rainout!
Hi Ozark Turtle,
I doubt that your humidifier is the problem. Any vapor source will produce condensation at the mask if there's enough temperature differential and the mask is below the vapor source. One thing you can do are to attach your hose somewhere above the humidifier. Imagine that you are a fish, free to flop around on a line suspended above you. That way, at least part of the condensation will go back into the humidifier. The other suggestion is to insulate your hose. You mention that you have already done this, but maybe another layer will do the trick. Personally, I have two layers of fleece the entire length of hose, interface hose, and nose-piece of my Aeiomed Headrest. The only thing exposed are literally the nasal pillows. And still I sometimes get rainout. Must be those steamy-hot dreams I have...
Take Care, and good luck,

And if the extra hose wrapping doesn't work, you need a heated hose (the Aussie Heated Hose). It takes care of rainout once and for all!
